The waiting game and goodbyes

So that was the auditions and cook off. As much as I had a lot of fun going through it, I kinda left the cook off feeling a little disappointed with myself. I just didn't know why. Maybe because I've never been judged before in terms of my cooking. Most of my friends and family loves it, so I take it as a good sign and improve it from time to time. But with the 3 judges, it was different.

One hour starts now!

Right after I left KDU after getting the results, I went straight to get all my ingredients for the cook off! Grocery shopping! Once everything was purchased, straight away I went back home and started practising, gotta make the fresh pasta within 10 minutes so it could chill in the fridge for 20 minutes (the least) while I cook the rest of the parts of the lasagna. At the same time, I had to make a new casing for the lasagna to a smaller portion. Manage to get it done in time for both tries! So packed up everything I need for Sunday and rested. I wish! Was over excited till I couldn't sleep the whole night, I think I manage to cramp in 2 hours of sleep before I know it, I was up and packing and rushing off to KDU, thank God for Sunday traffic, it was smooth sailing and there in less than an hour. 

The beginning

I love writing, one of my favorite things to do to express all that I want to. So why not start it here? This would be the chronicles of my journey into the food industry. Lets go all the way back to where it all started, my auditions into MasterChef Malaysia Season 1.

I always had a passion for cooking, but it was never clear whether I wanted to go full board on this. When a friend of mine mentioned that the auditions were coming up and all I had to do was fill up the form and submit, I jumped to it straight away thinking, why not? I was in a job that I was beginning to despise, time to venture into something else.
